Fabulous Fermentation: Learn The Basics!
Have you ever heard of probiotics, the microbiome, or fermented foods? Are you wondering how they can help you improve digestion and boost immunity? This part demo, part hands on workshop is perfect for those who are looking to explore the world of fermentation, but aren’t quite sure where to start.
In this workshop you’ll be taught several different types of fermentation that you can start quickly and easily right in your own kitchen. You’ll learn the basics of the microbiome and why it’s so important for long term health. Once you’ve learned the basics you’ll roll up your sleeves to make your own fermented goodies to take home and then sit down to enjoy some previously prepared samples.
We’ll be sampling each of the follow recipes and participants will get to make their samples of each one, except the kombucha. SCOBYs will be available for purchase for $5.

Specifics: This part demo, part hands on fermentation workshop is for up to 10 people and runs for approximately 2 hours. All groceries, aprons, jars, and speciality equipment will be provided.
