Fantastic Fermentables: Nutrition Workshop
on Fermentation Level 1
Have you been hearing a lot about fermentation, probiotics, and their connection to health? Are you interested in learning how to make your own affordable fermented foods to improve your health?
This nutrition workshop on fermented foods will cover what fermented foods are, their importance in achieving & maintaining lasting health, and lots of instruction on how to ferment foods at home quickly, easily, and affordably.
This fermented foods workshop is a combination of demonstration and hands on styles ending with the chance for all attendees to make their very own customized sauerkraut in addition to:
• Flavoured Kombucha
• Coconut Milk Yogurt
• Pickled Jalapeno Peach Salsa
• Basic & Flavoured Sauerkraut
Everyone will leave with a handout full of information on fermented and fermented foods, recipes, their own individual jars of sauerkraut, coconut milk yogurt, kombucha or switchel, and pickled jalapeno peach salsa. Delicious samples of all the goodies that will be made will be available for tasting!
Specifics: This fermentation cooking class is for up to 10 people and runs for approximately 2 hours.

Fantastic Fermentables: Nutrition Workshop on Fermentation Level 2
This fermented food workshop is designed for those who have already taken the level one fermenting workshop and have a basic understanding of fermentation. In this food preparation and nutrition class we will dive deeper into the relationship between the microbiome and various health conditions such as depression, anxiety, autoimmune diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, and skin conditions such as eczema.
The cooking class is a combination of kitchen demonstration and hands on food prep ending with a “Build Your Own Pickle Bar” where all attendees of the fermentation workshop will have the chance to make their very own pickled veggies.
In this class on making fermented foods you will learn how to make:
• Pickled Ginger & Pickled Kale Stems
• Cashew Cream Cheese
• Cashew Cream Cheese Icing
• Magical Miso Maple Dressing
• Lacto-Fermented Pickles & Veggies
All cooking class attendees will leave with a handout full of information on fermentation, fermented foods recipes, their own jar of pickled ginger or veggies, and delicious samples of all the goodies that will be made.
