Meet Your Hosts
Caitlin Iles, MA, CNP, CNE
Holistic & Culinary Nutritionist, Yoga Teacher
Cait is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner, Culinary Nutrition Expert, and Yoga Teacher with a keen interest in keeping up to date on the latest and greatest in nutrition and wellness research. She is passionate about helping her clients feel happier, more energetic, and totally in love with their lives because she’s been on the other side and knows that there’s more to life than aches, pains, and fatigue.
In her practice she focuses on healing the body through gentleness, self-compassion, the latest nutrition research, and time-tested, evolution-based dietary concepts. Her mission is to help my clients change their relationships with food so that they can create their healthiest bodies and their happiest, most fulfilling lives. Creating space for healing at wellness retreats, cooking classes, and live talks is her passion.
Leslie Wilkin, MSW, RSW, RYT
Clinical Social Worker, Yoga Teacher, & Ayurvedic Practitioner
Leslie is a mental health professional and yoga teacher based out of North Vancouver & Nanaimo British Columbia. Her training and experience has focused on integrating the mind & body in trauma and addiction recovery. She has taught yoga in both studios and mental health and addiction programs, and travels throughout BC training yoga teachers on trauma-informed yoga.
In addition to her clinical training, she is a keen student and practitioner of Ayurveda (the traditional system of wellness associated with yoga). Using Ayurvedic & Western tools such as food, seasonal wisdom, herbalism, and radical self-care, she is committed to exploring truly holistic models of mind-body wellness.

A chance to meet one another and share who you are & what brought you to the retreat.
9:00pm-10:00pm—Gentle Yoga & Meditation
You’ll participate in some gentle hatha yoga to shake off the day before settling in for a restorative yoga nidra. This style of yoga is done completely motionless and is designed to get you into a deep state of relaxation to help prepare you for a blissful and rejuvenating night’s sleep!
This practice is designed to open our bodies and minds to change and a new perspective on life. We’ll awaken our possibilities and become receptive to a new life, experiences, and physical practice.
9:00am-10:00am—Nutritionist Designed & Prepared Ayurvedic Breakfast
Prepare yourself for a day of learning and growth with a nourishing, seasonally appropriate Ayurvedic breakfast lovingly prepared by Caitlin & Leslie!
10:30am-12:00pm—Group Coaching: Introduction to Ayurveda
In this coaching session you’ll learn the basic theories behind the millennia-old healing practice of Ayurveda and how to integrate these practices into your daily routine to create a powerful self-care ritual.
You’ll learn which dosha (your unique expression of physical, emotional, and mental characteristics) you embody so that you can create a completely personalized approach to your mind-body-soul healthcare.
Refuel your body and soul with delicious, homemade, healing food packed with Ayurvedic herbs & spices to balance your energy! Each meal is lovingly prepared by Caitlin & Leslie.
1:30pm-2:30pm—Seasonally Appropriate Ayurvedic Practices
This workshop will explore the best practices to incorporate into your self-care routine based upon the shifting seasons from Winter to Spring. You will build upon the information you learned about your dosha to develop your best approach to supporting your body through the seasonal transition so you can enter Spring feeling energized, grounded, and refreshed!
2:30pm-4:30pm—Free Time!
You’ll have the opportunity to explore the beautiful old-growth forest, take a sauna, read a book, have a nap, or anything else you need to feed your soul and take a pause before the evening programming begins. Snacks will be available in the kitchen during this time.
This cooking demo will introduce you to the different flavours and concepts behind Ayurvedic nutrition. We’ll be making seasonal dishes that are appropriate for all doshas.
This workshop includes recipes, handouts, demos, and samples of delicious and super simple meals you can prepare to make your life easier and your body healthier!
6:30pm-7:30pm—Nutritionist Designed & Prepared Dinner
We’ll be enjoying all the delicious meals and treats prepared during the Ayurvedic Cooking Class!
After enjoying our delicious meal we’ll head outside for a guided walk through the old-growth forest led by the owner of Windhorse Farms.
8:30pm-9:30pm—Yin Yoga & Meditation
We’ll end our busy day with a beautifully restorative and healing yin yoga practice to release any tension from the body and prepare for deep sleep. Come in your pjs, bring blankets, and prepare to give your body the gift of complete relaxation!
This practice is designed to awaken the body and activate the parasympathetic nervous system so that you can approach the day feeling energized, yet completely calm and stable.
9:00am-10:00am—Nutritionist Designed & Prepared Breakfast
Start your day off right with a delicious, nourishing, and healing breakfast lovingly prepared by Caitlin & Leslie! The focus is on foods that nourish the nervous system, heal the digestive tract, and help us start the day off with stable energy.
10:30am-12:00pm—Group Coaching: Mind-Body-Gut Health for Stress Management
In this workshop we’ll be getting a little more technical as we look at the connection between stress, digestion, and mental health. We’ll explore the role of the vagus nerve in developing symptoms of chronic stress, and how we can nourish the mind and body with physical, mental, and nutrition practices to strengthen the body and create a state of resilience.
12:30pm-1:30pm—Nutritionist Designed & Prepared Lunch
This lunch, lovingly prepared by Caitlin & Leslie, will contain powerful foods and herbs to nourish the nervous system and help the body adapt to stress.
This short practice will help activate the parasympathetic nervous system so that you can enter rest & digest mode to properly integrate all the nourishing food from lunch.
3:00pm-4:30pm—Free Time
You’ll have the opportunity to explore the beautiful old-growth forest, take a sauna, read a book, have a nap, or anything else you need to feed your soul and take a pause before the evening programming begins. Snacks will be available in the kitchen during this time.
4:30pm-6:00pm—Eating for Stress Resilience Cooking Class
In this cooking class you’ll get to sample foods that are designed to heal the digestive tract and nourish the nervous system. We’ll be making a fermented goody packed with probiotics, stress-supporting tea blends, making our own ghee to eat with fresh gluten-free bread, and lots of other foods to fill you up and heal your soul.
This workshop includes recipes, handouts, demos, and samples of delicious and super simple meals, snacks, and beverages you can prepare in under 30 minutes to make your life easier and your body healthier!
6:30pm-7:30pm—Nutritionist & Participant Prepared Dinner
We’ll all sit down together to enjoy a calm and peaceful meal of all the delicious foods we created during the workshop.
This short yin practice will help activate the parasympathetic nervous system so that you can enter rest & digest mode to properly integrate all the nourishing food from our workshop.
8:30pm-Bed Time—Stress-Busting Sweet Treats, Vision-Boarding, & Body-Care Social!
Leslie and Caitlin will prepare healthy snack alternatives to help soothe the body and soul during stressful times. No life is complete without chocolate and you’ll end your evening by sampling some delicious homemade chocolate while creating a vision for your future and connecting with new friends.

In this workshop we’ll take all the information we learned about Ayurveda, nutrition, mind-body health, meditation, yoga asana, and self-care rituals and create personalized wellness plans with action steps you can take to create a state of balanced health.
We’ll finish up the weekend by sharing some of our realizations, highlights, and steps we’ll be taking post-retreat to bring our dreams and goals to fruition.
12:00pm-1:00pm—Nutritionist Designed & Prepared Lunch
Fill your belly and your soul with delicious food before heading back home to put your new skills into practice.
1:00pm—Checkout & Goodbyes
Take a last stroll around the grounds, capture your final thoughts in your journal, and say goodbye to the women who have supported you throughout the weekend. Don’t worry, we all stay in touch post-retreat!
