Fantastic Fermentables: Nutrition Workshop on Fermented Foods Level 1

Have you been hearing a lot about fermentation, probiotics, and their connection to health? Are you interested in learning how to make your own affordable fermented foods to improve your health?

This nutrition workshop on fermented foods will cover what fermented foods are, their importance in achieving & maintaining lasting health, and lots of instruction on how to ferment foods at home quickly, easily, and affordably.

It's a Cooking Party: Spectacular Soups, Sauces, & Sides

I firmly believe that most food is merely a vehicle for delicious sauces. In this cooking class you will learn some simple soups and sauces that you can batch cook and have to eat throughout the week. You can make these healthy recipes on a Sunday and be set for the week with different healthy snacks and main courses. You can also freeze everything and have them as go-to goodies for times when life gets a little too hectic.

Saskatoon Fermented Foods Workshop- Make Homemade Pickles

Fantastic Fermentables: Nutrition Workshop on Fermented foods Level 2

This fermented food workshop is designed for those who have already taken the level one fermenting workshop and have a basic understanding of fermentation. In this food preparation and nutrition class we will dive deeper into the relationship between the microbiome and various health conditions such as depression, anxiety, autoimmune diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, and skin conditions such as eczema.  

The cooking class is a combination of kitchen demonstration and hands on food prep ending with a “Build Your Own Pickle Bar” where all attendees of the fermentation workshop will have the chance to make their very own pickled veggies.  

In this class on making fermented foods you will learn how to make:

• Pickled Ginger & Pickled Kale Stems

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Each class must have a minimum of 5 attendees to run. Payment is due upon booking the class.

Classes will run from 6 to 8 pm. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled to start promptly at 6. 

There will be an additional charge of $75 to create a custom class. 

A processing fee of 5% will be added to any credit card payments.

There are no refunds given for cancellations, but the fee can be used towards a class at a later date if canceled with 24 hours notice. 

Please advise of any food allergies or intolerances upon booking.
